Club Dues
It is a goal of Defiance Volleyball Club to serve as many kids as possible and keep the cost of playing affordable for everyone interested. Depending on the number of players on a team, the cost for middle school level will range from $450-$600 and for high school level from $900-$1500. The cost for high school players is more due to the travel expectations and the cost of the multi-day tournaments that they play in. Specific cost for middle school and high school level players is posted below for the 2017 season.
Club Dues from 2019-2020 Season:
Middle School Teams: $500
High School USAV Players: $900-$1200 dependent of final tournament schedule
One of the ways we help offset your club dues is by offering a fundraiser. See fundraiser information on the fundraising tab.
All fees are due for each player on the commencement of the practice season. The club is required to register each player with the Rocky Mountain Region of the USAV, Mesa Juniors or the Gold Cup Series, which is the sanctioning body for our tournament season. This must be done immediately upon the start of practice, as the club is provided umbrella insurance coverage through USAV and Gold Cup for all registered players and coaches for injuries suffered in sanctioned activities including practices. This insurance coverage is vital to the club and an important protection for each of our players and their families.
One half of the club fees are due on or before Dec. 16th. The remainder of the club fees are due on or before Jan. 13th. Fees not paid by January 25th will be assessed a $25 late fee every 10 days the fees remain unpaid. Any players whose fees are unpaid will be ineligible for for tournament travel, play and practice with club teams until full payment has been made.
Please bring payments to practice.
Payment of the club fee entitles a player to participate in all team practices, matches and tournaments for the full club season. The club fee also includes the player's uniform, gym rental fees, coaches' pay, coaches continuing education, equipment, administrative costs, USAV registration fees, insurance coverage through USAV, scorekeeping and referee certification, and all overnight accommodations for coaches in connection with out of town tournaments for the basic RMR series. All meals and hotel costs for players during out of town play are the responsibility of the individual player. All fees must be paid in full regardless of the duration of participation by the individual. Any past due fees from prior year's club participations must be paid before any new enrollment will be accepted.
After a family pays a full fee for one child, there will be a $50 discount for each additional child.
Players quitting the team during the first two weeks will be refunded any club fees paid except the non-refundable $100 deposit for middle school players and the $200 deposit for high school players. After the second week of practice all fees are considered non-refundable. Requests for refunds due to emergencies or other mitigating situations will be considered only upon written request to the board of directors.
Any over payment will be refunded after the final tournament of the season.
